The Explorer Level of the Implications of Literature series is designed to help students read, understand, and communicate effectively and clearly. The unique format used in each of the volumes in this series promotes the acquisition of critical language arts skills in an enjoyable and challenging way through exposure to high-quality world literature. Each selection in the series contains a Before You Read page that supplies a short biography of the author and provides a literary overview. Sidebars, strategically placed throughout the text, stimulate thought processes and help students zero in on significant concepts. CheckQuizzes and Literary Critique segments follow each work. 

Writing and Journal Workshops help students develop writing techniques that are valuable in every field of study as well as in practical applications. Helpful Definitions provide additional information, define archaic words, and familiarize students with unusual usage.
